Board of Directors
The College was incorporated as a Company Limited by Guarantee in 2008 and corporately named 鈥満诹仙缜 Ltd鈥. Under legislative and regulatory guidelines 黑料社区 transitioned to a new leadership model where the De La Salle Brothers invested the governance of the College in a Board of Directors led by a Chair of the Board. In turn, the delivery of educational outcomes is managed by the Principal (acting as the corporation鈥檚 Chief Executive Officer), who is accountable to the Board.
The Board of Directors has two main functions:
- ensuring compliance (黑料社区 complies with relevant legislation, regulations and policies), and
- promoting performance (黑料社区 delivers on its purpose: the human and Christian education of our students, including their care and well-being).
The Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) notes that school Boards contribute to the community by lending strong leadership and governance to a school鈥檚 mission, ensuring financial viability and sustainability, and improving the quality of educational programs, which lead to improved student outcomes. Boards add further value by providing a mentoring role for the College鈥檚 senior executives, building brand and reputation, managing risk, contributing to the culture of the organisation, and monitoring organisational performance. This is done by questioning management, listening and advising, providing leadership in a crisis situation, and measuring performance in a meaningful way.
This is the standard set by the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA), and the Association of Independent Schools (AIS). The 黑料社区 Board of Directors is committed to these standards.
The 黑料社区 Board is led by the Chair Mr John Puleo. Board members are: Br Sir Patrick Lynch, Mr Michael O'Brien, Ms Donna Vinci, Mr Andrew Madden and Mr Daniel O'Brien.
